My child date of birth is 30th November, 2006. Now is she eligible for registration in class 9th in schools affiliated to CBSE Board curriculum? Is there any age limitation set by CBSE Board?

As per the current norms, the minimum age of candidate should be 13 years by the 1st October of that year in which he/she got admitted to his/her Class 9th to be eligible for their registration for CBSE Class 10th board examination.

So, being born on 30.11.2006, your child is underage for his/her registration for CBSE Class 10th board examination during the current academic session.

There is no age limit criteria mentioned in any notification of CBSE to register for CBSE in Std 9tj.

It is the sole responsibility of Directorate of State Education to determine the minimum age criteria for the students of respective state to appear in the 10th board examination.
