What is the minimum educational criteria to be eligible for NET exam?
Sir, I have completed M.Sc in Physics. So, can I give NET exam in Physics only or in any other subjects? Which other subject would be best for me?

After M.Sc (Physics), You can pursue CSIR NET in physical science subject.
CSIR NET Eligibility You must have passed a degree in B.E or B.Tech or B.Pharm or MBBS or M.Sc or integrated BS-MS with at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university. OR Candidates must have passed B.Sc and pursuing M.Sc or MS-Ph.D and have got 55% marks, then they are eligible to apply. - Upper age limit is 28 years for JRF and no age limit for lecturership. CSIR NET Physical Science Exam Pattern - Exam comprises of three parts. - Part A consists questions from General Aptitude, Part B and Part C consist questions from Physics. - Total Marks : 200 - Exam Duration : 3 Hours - Negative Marking of 25% for incorrect answer in every parts. Part A - Total number of questions are 20 out of which only 15 questions to be attempted. - Total Marks : 30 - Each correct answer will carry +2 marks. - Each wrong answer will deduct 0.5 mark. Part B - Total number of questions are 25 questions out of which only 20 questions to be attempted. - Total Marks : 70 - Each correct answer will carry +3.5 marks. - Each wrong answer will deduct 0.875 mark. Part C - Total number of questions are 30 out of which only 20 questions to be attempted. - Total Marks : 100 - Each correct answer will carry +5 marks. - Each wrong answer will deduct 1.25 mark.
