What is minimum percentage criteria to be eligible for NET exam?
I have scored aggregate 58.90 percent in my M.Sc Statistics. But had 1 mark grace in first year of M.Sc. Therefore, am I eligible for governance exam i.e., the NET examination?

NET refers to National Eligibility Test and the minimum education required to appear in the same examination is a Master's degree in concerned subject with at least 55% marks from a recognized university. Marks relaxation of 5% is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST and PH category.

The acronym NET stands for National Eligibility Test.
Eligibility criteria for NET exam: Academic qualification: Post graduation in any stream from a recognized university with minimum of 55% marks. Its aggregate percentage of marks. You can apply with 58.90% marks in post graduation course. |

The full form of NET is National Eligibility Test.
Eligibility criteria for NET examination: 1. You must have done master's degree in any stream from a recognized university. Final year post graduation candidates can also apply for exam. 2. You must have minimum of 55% marks in Post graduation courses. There is no upper age limit for NET examination for Lectureship. |

NET stands for National Eligibility Test. NET is now conducted by National Testing Agency, earlier it used to be conducted by University Grants Commission. NTA NET is conducted for humanities stream candidates. Science stream candidates need to apply for CSIR NET examination.
Candidates must have scored minimum of 55% marks in master's degree in science to apply for the examination. The upper age limit for Junior Research Fellowship is 28 years. |

The minimum educational qualification required to appear in NET examination is a master degree with minimum 55% marks (for General category) and with minimum 50% marks for OBC, SC, ST category students.
