What is the eligibility criteria followed for NET exam? What are the benefits of NET exam? Can you please explain me the complete scope and the uses of NET exam? I am planning to prepare and write the exam but I wanted to know the details before.

National eligibility entrance test is conducted by the National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grant Commission. This test establishes the eligibility of the candidate for the Junior Research Fellowship Award and Lecturership. The objective of this exam is to attain minimum standards in research and profession of teaching.

Eligibility:

Candidate must have citizenship of India.

The candidate must be a graduate or hold a degree in B tech /Bachelor of Engineering/ Integrated/ BS MS/ MBBS and CS from a recognised University with a minimum score of 55% in the final degree exam.

There is no upper age limit for the exam for lecturership. The maximum age limit for Junior research fellowship exam is 28 years.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test.

Eligibility criteria:

1. Master's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

2. Final year post graduate candidates can apply for this exam.

3. Age limit for Junior Research Fellowship is 28 years.

4. There is no upper age limit for Lectureship.

Scope and Benefits of NET:

On basis of your performance in NET exam, you can get JRF as well as apply for Lectureship in different government colleges.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test and it is conducted by UGC twice every year. The examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates as Lecturer or JRF.

The eligibility to appear for examination is :-

Candidate must have passed master's degree from any recognised university.

Candidate's age must be between 19-28 years to appear for JRF, no age limit for lecturership.

Candidate must have minimum 55% aggregate in master's degree.

So, if you want to appear for examination and to get syllabus for examination visit at www.ugc.ac.in.

NET is conducted by UGC to award JRF and Lecturership. NET is conducted twice a year in the month of june and december.

Eligibility
- You must have passed master's course with atleast 55% from a recognized university.
- Age Limit is 28 years for JRF. Relaxation applicable 5 years to OBC/SC/ST and 3 years to LLM candidates. Relaxation also applicable to Ph.D candidates. No age limit for Lecturership.

NET Exam Benefits
- If you have cleared JRF exam , then you can receive fellowship under different schemes & get posting at national level organization.
- If you have passed Lecturership Exam , then you can get job as a Lecturer , Assistant Professor , Reader , Head of Department.

NET Important Dates 2016
- Registration Starts : 1st Week of March , 2016
- Last Date to Apply : 2nd Week of March , 2016
- NET Exam : June , 2016

National Eligibility Test is conducted by University Grants Commission in June and December for Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship.

The eligibility criteria for NET exam is:

*Candidate must have completed or studying in final year of master's degree. If you have passed, you must have minimum percentage of marks as 55%.

*There is no upper age limit for Lectureship but for JRF is 28 years.

The main benefit is that if you manage to crack this test, you can become lecturer in government college with handsome salary and other allowances. You can also avail Junior Research Fellowship.

NET is the National eligibility Test which is conducted by the UGC which is Union grants commission and with this NET examination you will be awarded the Lectureship in related courses like the Engineering,medical and business courses.

NET examination is eligible for all candidates and who are willing to get Masters in Philosophy and Ph.d can take up this course.There are some specific eligibility criteria which are required to appear for the NET examination such as
  1. Should belong to the residents of India only
  2. Graduates and Masters degree candidates can apply for this NET examination
  3. candidates who have secured pass marks in NET examination will be qualified and at the same time they have to submit all necessary certificates

These are the required eligibility criteria to apply for the NET examination

With this NET exam you can take up the Ph.d course or Masters in Philosophy course of study and you can attain lectureship with this NET examination

NET-National Eligibility Test.Conducted by CBSE and after qualify in this exam you can do job in various universities and colleges.
Eligibility to appear in this exam:

*The candidate must be an Indian national.
*The candidate must be a graduate/postgraduate or hold a degree in B.Tech/BE/Integrated BS-/ MS/MBBS/MSC/PhD from a recognized university/institution, with a minimum score of 55% in the final degree exam.
*There is no upper age limit for the exam for lectureship. *The maximum age limit for JRF exam is 28 years.

A candidate must fulfill following eligibility criteria in order to apply for National Eligibility test conducted by UGC:

>>You must have completed master's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates in final year of post graduation course can also apply.

>>You must have 55% or more in master's degree. There is 5% marks relaxation for OBC and SC/ST candidates.

>>The upper age limit for Junior Research Fellowship is 28 years and for Lectureship, no age limit.

The main benefit is that you can become lecturer in government colleges as NET qualified candidates are recruited as lecturers in government colleges.

NET examination is conducted by UGC twice every year in month of June and December.

The examination is conducted for recruitment of candidate as Junior Research Fellowship and as Lecturer. The eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed master's degree from any recognised university.

Minimum required aggregate to appear for examination is 55% while age limit is 19-28 years for lectureship.
