Hello Sir, I want to pursue M.B.B.S from A.M.U. Can you please tell me, What is the minimum marks required to get admission in A.M.U for pursuing M.B.B.S.

AMU MBBS BDS 2016 has been replaced by NEET 2016 as per the Supreme Court order on May 9, 2016. Now, admission in all state-level and private medical colleges will be done on the basis of NEET 2016 results only.

NEET stands for National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test.

Eligibility criteria for the NEET :-

-The candidate must be an Indian citizen or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).

-The candidate should have passed 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects with minimum 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for OBC/SC/ST candidates.

-The candidate must be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2016. The age limit is 25 years for general and 30 years for SC / ST / OBC category candidates.

Candidates who have completed 12th standard with above 50% marks are eligible for MBBS entrance exam in AMU, but your 12th standard subject should be Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. For SC/ST candidate this percentage is reduced to 40%.

Your age should be in between 17 to 26 years.

Eligibility Criteria for AMU MBBS:

Candidate must be an Indian citizen to apply.

He must have passed class XII or any other equivalent exam from a state or central recognized university.

Minimum aggregate marks in the qualifying examination ¨C 50%.

Subjects mandatory in the qualifying exam ¨C Chemistry, Physics and Biology and English.

Age of candidate must be more than 17 years.

What are the minimum marks required to get government MBBS seat in AP under OBC category?

AMU conduct entrance exam for MBBS admission in two stages. (1) Preliminary Exam (2) Main Exam. You require minimum 50% marks in entrance exam. Cut off varies every year & depends on difficulty level of exam. Candidates who have passed in preliminary exam are eligible to appear main exam.

Physics - 50 Marks
Chemistry - 50 Marks
Biology - 100 Marks
- Time Duration : 3 Hours

- Download the application form.
- Fill the application form carefully.
- Varify the details & Submit it.
- Pay the application fee online.
- Print the application form.
- Send application to "Admission Section , Office of Controller of Examination , AMU , Aligarh-202002".
