Re: What is the passing marks for CA-CPT examination?
Hi friend..
CPT stands for Common Proficiency Test. It is the entrance test for CA course. The test is conducted twice a year, once in the month of June and another in December. To appear in this test, you are required to take following steps:- 1.Pass your 12th. 2.Register for CA course with ICAI. 3.Appear in your 12th exam. 4.Fill the examination form of CPT. 5.Appear in CPT if you have passed in 12th. The exam is conducted of 200 marks consisting of 200 marks. The exam is conducted in two sessions:- Session 1.(2 hours):- Accountancy - 60 Marks. Merchantile Law - 40 Marks. Session 2 (2 hours):- Economics - 50 Marks. Quantitative Aptitutde - 50 Marks. All the questions carry 1 mark. For every correct answer, you get 1 mark and for every wrong answer,0.25 marks is deducted. If you score overall 100 marks in the exam, you are declared pass and you get qualified for the next stage of CA course. The next stage is IPCC which is divided in two groups-Group 1 and Group 2. There are 4 subjects in Group 1 and 3 subjects in Group 2. You have to register for this stage also after qualifying CPT by paying the required fee. You can qualify for IPCC directly after completing your graduation. I hope you found the required information. Best of luck. Thanks. With Regards- Vikas. Quote:

Re: What is the passing marks for CA-CPT examination?
passing marks required to pass CPT exam is overall 50% i.e your marks should be 100 or above out of 200 to clear a CPT test.
There is common misconception among students that 50% marks in each subject is required but it is not so in total 50% marks are required. |
