respected sir,
i am completed intermediate in andra pradesh nellore dist sir i am intrested join army but i don't know the educational and physical qualifications to join in Indian army can u guide me about this requirements

You can join Indian Army after 12th class. You should qualify in NDA exam conducted by UPSC. Maximum age limit is 19 years to attend this exam. There are certain physical requirements you should adhere to in order to join Indian Army. You should have a minimum height of 152 cms with correlated weight. You need to have a distant vision of 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in worse eye. An expandable chest of not less than 81 cms is also required to apply in Army.

I am doing my mechanical engineering second year also i m very much interested in indian army can i join the army now ?

After the 10+2 you can join Indian Army as an officer through National defence academy examination. The NDA examination is conducted twice in a year by the Union Public service commission. The eligibility required for this examination is given below:

Education Qualification
For the National defence academy examination a candidate should be 10+2 pass and should have physics and maths if a candidate is applying for the Indian Air force and Navy.
Those appeared in the 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply for the National defence academy examination.

Age Limit
For the National defence academy examination a candidate age should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

exam date : 19-08-2012
eligibility
candidate should be male and unmarried
candidate should be pass 12th with maths and physics subject.
candidate age should be 16.5-19 years
