Indian Army invites application for the post of Soldier Nursing Assistant. Only male candidates are eligible to apply. Higher secondary education in science stream is the educational qualification requirement. Recruitment is carried out on the basis of open rally system which includes physical fitness test, written and medical examination. Upper age limit for recruitment is 23 years.
Eligibility Requirements for ‘Soldier Nursing Assistant’ in India Army

  • Pass in 10+2/intermediate exam under science stream is the educational qualification preferred. HSC course must be completed with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as subjects. Eligible candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks. Also they must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in each subject.
  • Age of the candidate must fall within the limits of 17½ and 23 years.

Selection Procedure for ‘Soldier Nursing Assistant’ in India Army

Screening and selection process is done yearly through an open rally system.  Notification on this will be issued in local newspapers one month prior to the conduct of the rally. The recruitment process conducted in zonal recruiting offices comprises the following steps.

  • Document Verification
  • Test for Physical fitness
  • Physical measurement
  • Medical Test
  • Written Test
  • Short listing candidates on merit basis

Enrolment & Dispatch of chosen candidates to Training Centers

Document verification process includes mark sheet verification, caste certificate verification, nativity certificate verification, etc. After document verification, eligible candidates are subjected to physical fitness test. Physical standards are different for different regions. Physical measurement is carried out through physical exercises like 1 mile run, 9 feet ditch and pull ups. Maximum marks allotted for the session is 100. Those candidates who pass these steps are subjected to medical test.

The next step of selection process is the written exam, which comprises of two papers. Paper I is compulsory for all soldier categories. This paper must be completed within 1 hour duration and total marks allotted for the test is 100. Syllabus for the session is as follows.

  • Numerical ability
  • General knowledge
  • Current affairs

Paper II is conducted for 50 marks.  Time duration for the test is 30 minutes. The main topics covered under Paper II are

  • Chemistry
  • Botany &
  • Biology

Pass marks required for paper-I is 32 and that for paper-II is 16.

Candidates who wish to join Indian Army as Soldier Nursing Assistant are required to apply in prescribed application format. Fully filled in applications along with relevant documents should be sent in the regional office. Late and incomplete applications will be rejected without intimation.

    i have ncc b and c certificate and also completed bsc digree and my age 23 running so can i join nursing assistant ? and what is the use o c cirtificate for this?
