I FAILED IN CHEMISTRY EXAM. MY COMPUTER EXAM IS GOING TO BE CONDUCTED ON JULY 2nd. WILL MY ONE YEAR BE WASTED OR SHOULD I GIVE COMPARTMENT EXAM? OR, WILL I BE AWARDED PASS CERTIFICATE IF I PASS IN ALL OTHER SUBJECTS?

No you won't be declared pass if you don't clear all subjects.

Compartment exam benefit is given to only those candidates who gets failed in only one subject in the final exam but get pass in all other remaining subjects.

So if you have failed in only one subject then under the rules of CBSE you will get opportunity to sit in the compartment exam of that particular subject examination and clear it. This will save your one year from getting wasted.
