iwant to join mechant navy what is the procedure for that

for joining merchant navy after b.tech you have to do 6 months course and after that you can go for any company you wish to go.

depending on your marks you will be called for the interview

after going my 2nd year in btech in cse stream can i get admision in navy?

Dear friend there are three processes to get into Merchant Navy.

First is NDA exam which is written exam and you have to clear the exam first for getting call for SSb and there you can select any of NAVY,Airforce,Army.
Second is CDS it is also written exam but easy as compare to NDA and it also has same process as NDA.

Third is the form which one is important for you which come for graduates or for degree holders fill that form and then you will get call for GD and PI.

Hope you will succeed.

Qualification required: Degree/Diploma in mech. or electrical engineering.

Age: not above 25 years.

Salary: 550 USD as trainee and after certification as marine engineer starting salary 3000 USD.

Passport is required for joining merchant navy

you can join in merchent navy in shiping line in two ways.

1.through UES. which exam you can appear in the final year of your btech.

2.through UPSC exam. which exam you can appear after doing your btech.

the criteria to join in marchant navy is 60% in btech.

Hello friend,
A graduate in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Technology Engineering can join as Engine cadet/Junior Engineer after going through a pre-sea course conducted by the MERI. The duration of the pre-sea course is 9 months.
Engine cadet is the entry level of engineering candidates and for further promotion, the candidate has to write the examination during the service period. The examination is conducted by the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS).
