i want to know in detail about what is a projectile and what is a trajectory?

A projectile is any body which once thrown or projected into space with some initial velocity moves thereafter under the influence of gravity and air resistance alone .For example ; a football kicked in the air and a bullet fired from a rifle at some angle with the horizontal .

Trajectory is simply defined as the path followed by the projectile during its motion called as projectile motion .

This topic is one of the most important topic for the point of view of competitive examination and the board examinations too .

Also , the maximum height attained by the projectile during its motion is called as the Height of projectile motion and the total horizontal distance covered is called as the range of projectile .
