Mechanics deals with day to day life solutions for some critical problems. It is so much necessary that Mechanical Engineering has been made a separate branch of Engineering. Mechanics include the study of Kinetics, Newton’s laws of Motion etc. Mechanic is further divided into Classical Mechanics and Quantum Mechanics. Classical Mechanics is older than Quantum Mechanics. It came into being with Newton’s Laws of motion which is the basic governing factor of Classical Mechanics.

The topics which are taught in this paper are as motion of freely moving bodies, factors affecting the motion , vectors and its types, energy and its different forms, conservation law of mechanical energy, work done, etc.

The total marks that can be scored in this paper is 50 and the maximum time limit in which it is to be solved is of three hours.

The total no. of questions contained by this paper is 10. The question paper is printed in English language. The total marks contained by this paper are 50. Very few questions are to be answered from theses questions. Only 5 questions are to be answered out of the 10 questions. All the questions of this paper are long answer type. Each question of this paper carries equal marks which are of 10 marks. The question paper is well balanced and is distributed through out the syllabus. The total time in which it is to be solved is of three hours.
