What is the qualification required to become a railway loco pilot? I have completed B.Tech degree in electronics and instrumentation branch


Sir,
I completed my B.Tech degree in electronics and instrumentation branch.Sir is this qualification enough to become a railway loco pilot.

I have passed B.Tech in electronics & communication engineering. can you please say me whether i can give locopilot exam for railway or not? If yes then what is its syllabus?

The railway recruitment board recruit the candidate of Railway loco pilot exam.

You must have ITI degree in below given department then you are applicable for loco pilot exam -

Fitter/Electrician/Instrument Mechanic/Mill Wright or Maintenance Mechanic/Mechanic Radio & TV/Electronics Mechanic/Mechanic Motor Vehicle/Wire-man/Tractor Mechanic/Armature & Coil Winder/Mechanic Diesel/Heat Engine/Turner/Machinist/Refrigeration & AC Mechanic

Diploma degree holder of below department also applicable for loco pilot exam-

Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old.Age relaxation provide for reserved category.

The written exam is conducted through Hindi or English or Urdu subject.

Pattern for Loco pilot Exam:-
  1. Technical
  2. Non Technical
  3. General English
  4. General Awareness
  5. Arithmetic's
  6. Reasoning
Total No Of Question = 120.
Total time = 90 minutes.

There is a negative marking .If You have answered one wrong answer then .25 marks will be deduct.

Yes, you are eligible for Railway Loco Pilot examination.

RRB( Railway Recruitment Board) conductes the Railway Loco Pilot examination.

The eligibility criteria for Railway Loco Pilot examination are prescribed as below:-


* Completion of diploma in Elecrical/Automobile/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering from any recognised university.
