Hi Guest,

RTO stands for Road Transport Officer

The exam is conducted by Public Service Commission

There are three posts in RTO, they are as follows:

JUDICIAL POST

CLERK POST

SUB ASST. ENGINEER POST.

For judicial post you have to possess a degree from recognized university or its equivalent

For Clerk post you need to complete 12th standard from a recognized board of state or central government

For sub asst. engineer post you have to complete graduation in engineering from a recognized university under state or central government.

The age limit for the posts varies from 18 years to 30 years, depending on the respective posts.

Dear,

RTO stands for Regional Transport officer. This exam is conducted by the state government.

It is mainly for the following posts:
  1. Judicial post
  2. Assistant engineer post
  3. Clerk post

You have to go through a written test and if you get selected you will be called for the final interview round.This exam is conducted evry year in the month of April.

Eligibility for different posts are different such as:

For judicial posts:
  1. Graduation in law i.e.LLB
  2. Age should be between 21-32 years.
For assistant engineer post:
  1. B.tech or B.E in any stream.
  2. Age should be between 21-30 years.
For clerk post:
  1. 12th passed with minimum 60% marks.
  2. Age between 21-34 years.

RTO is Regional Transport Officer and is recruited by state public service commission .

If you have to become a RTO then you must satisfy following eligibility criteria:

-Must be Graduate in Engineering is Mechanical or Civil or Electrical stream.

-Age should be between 21 to 33 years for general category . Age relaxation is available as per guidelines.

-You must be an Indian Citizen

The examination pattern for RTO exam is as follows:

-Preliminary Exam

-Mains exam

-Personal Interview.


There are clerical posts also in RTO for which you can apply if you are having Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

The eligibility criteria vary from one state to other hence you have to visit website of your respective state public service commission.

Every state conducts RTO exam.

In general, RTO exam is conducted for these three posts –

Judicial Service Post

Clerkship post

Sub assistant engineer


Every post has different eligibility criteria.

Judicial Service Post –

Bachelor’s degree in LAW from a recognized university.
Age should be between 23 years to 34 years.
You should know local language of your state.

Clerkship post –

10+2 from a recognized board.
Age should be between 18 years to 37 years.

Sub Assistant engineer –

B.Tech/ B.E. in Mechanical or Electrical or Civil.
Age should be between 23 years to 32 years.

RTO is basically taken for the recruitment of Transport Inspector.

The eligibility you will require is as follows:-

>>You should be pass out in 10+2 from recognized board/University.
>>Your minimum marks should be 60%.

Age details:-

>>Your minimum age should be 18 years.
>>Your age should not be above 35 years.

IMPORTANT:-You should have valid Driving License.

Physical requirement:-

>>Height - Your minimum height should be 168 cms.
>>Chest - Minimum should be 81 cms and above.

* Candidates should be the citizen of India
