Kumaun Institute of Information Technology shortly called as KIIT is affiliated to Kamaun University and it is situated in a prominent and convenient area of Kumaun hills on the National Highway – 84, which is 4 km away from Haldwani and ½ km from Kathodam railway station. It is conceived as a unique growth-oriented institution of Information technology and management education with the main objective of catering to the training and educational requirements of the students. The uniqueness of the institution lies in its provisions for elaborate spectrum of IT and management programs under one roof. The emphasis of the institution is on development of dynamic personalities and building up of cultural values among students. The institution is approved by the state government of Uttaranchal.

Courses offered:

Four prestigious courses are offered by the institution namely MBA, PGDCA, BBA and BCA.

Admission procedure and eligibility criteria:

For getting admission to the institution, the candidates will have to clear the entrance examination conducted by the University of Kamaun. For BCA Course, the candidate must have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 45% of marks with mathematics. For the BBA course, the candidate should have completed 10+2 in any stream with a minimum of 45% of marks.

Infrastructure:

The institution has two campuses called as south campus and north campus. Both the campuses include facilities like seminar hall, audio-visual aids, hostel facilities for boys and girls, recreation facilities, state-of-the-art computer center and well-equipped specialized library.
