Re: What should I do after BSc? I am doing BSc Biotechnology
What you should do adter B.Sc in Biotechnology purely depends on what are your future goals. Do you want to go in research field or the management field. If you are interested in research field then the option in front of you is Masters course in Biotechnology.
You can go for M.Sc in Biotechnology Physiotherapy Bioinformatics Organic Chemistry Geoinformatics Microbiology Industrial Biotechnology Bio Medical Science The other areas where you can pursue post graduate courses are: Clinical Research Environmental Science Molecular and biochemical technology Biotechnology(Tissue Culture) Agri-Biotechnology If you are not much interested in the research field then the ideal option for you would be management related jobs. For that you will have to complete a Masters in Business Administration course from any reputed college in India. You can do MBA is the following courses: Pharmaceutical Management For admission in MBA you will have the option of either clear the CAT exam or the MAT exam. CAT which means Common Admission Test is for admission in top B Schools of India called IIMs. You need at least 50 percent marks in case of General candidate and 45 percent marks for SC/ST in the Bachelor's course to appear in CAT exam. MAT refers to Management Aptitude Test which is also an entrace exam for admission in MBA colleges in India. A large number of MBA institutes in India accept the MAT score. There is no minimum percentage requirement for appearing in Management Aptitude Test. Hospital Management Since Biotech is one of the rising fields in India the job scope is very good. After the masters course whether you choose M.Sc or the MBA, you will get a good job with starting salary of Rs. 20,000 to Rs, 30,000 which may go up to Rs 60,000 as you gain experience. |

Re: What should I do after BSc? I am doing BSc Biotechnology
The next step should be to take post graduation degree. If you are interested in research field then continue post graduation in the same field i.e. Biotechnology. You also have the option to specialise in areas like genetic engineering, Geoinformatics, bioinformatics etc. Pursuing MBA is also a choice available. Choose the course that suits your career aspirations.
