BBA stands for Bachelor in Business Administration and the duration of this course is 3 years. BCA stands for Bachelor in computer application and the duration of this course is 3 years. If you want to make your career in Management field, then BBA is the best course for you. But if you want to make your career in software field, then BCA is the best course. The scope of both these course are good, After completing any one of the course. If you can do Masters in same field, then you will get good jobs in future. So, dont be confused, If you like BCA then please take admission in BCA course in top university. The admission in top colleges will be based on entrance examination followed by personal Interview and if you will be able to cracked the examination then you will finally get admission in this course. So please check the official website of Top colleges and check the eligibility criteria for admission. |

Actually Higher secondary education we have the following branches: 1. Group I (Maths,phy,che,biology/CS) 2. Group II (Pure Science) 3. Group III (commerce) Those who are taking group III they may choose BCom course otherwise they can choose BCA course. BBA ===> Bachelor of Business Administration BCA ===> Bachelor of Computer Application. If you are choosing BCA u have lot of placement opportunities like that 1. IT industry 2. Government Post 3. SSC post 4. Bank clerical exams 5. Defense job suppose you have financial support you upgrade your education to MCA or M.Sc CS This course offers lot of job opportunities with good package. Suppose You choose B.Com you can go the commercial field, like that Bank, Accounts, marketing etc. |

Difference Between BBA and BCA BBA stands for (Bachelor of Business Administration) which is meant for the commerce background students who want to go for graduation in Business Administration..you can understand this as a preliminary step before the MBA which is the masters degree.. BCA stands for (Bachelor of Computer Application) which is meant for the students of science stream who have Computer Science in 12th.. Even if you don't have Computer Science in 12th..then also you can opt for BCA.. NOTE :- In order to get a respectable job with a decent salary..you need to do much more than bachelor's degree in both the streams.. |

Re: What should i do BBA or BCA after +2?
The scope after doing both the courses are same. But its better to go for BBA because the course of BBA is set in a way that you will get ample amount of time to prepare for MBA and career prospects of an MBA aspirant is just too good right now. On the other hand its hard to get a job soon after BCA. Many people opts for MCA for doing computer science engineering. Thats still understandable. But BCA alone wont fetch you anything unless you do it from a well reputed college. But the choice is yours. You have to take the final decision. So try to understand where your interest lies and choose wisely. good luck

Re: What should i do BBA or BCA after +2?
Both BBA & BCA are the degree level programmes & have a very good career in the future reference. But one can see His/Her inner traits regarding the selection of the career as under-
1. If you are interested in computers the BCA is suitable for you but if you have some management traits then BBA is the course to be chosen. 2. Both the courses have a high demanding & lucrative career but you can choose the one that is not to be opted by anyone in your family or circle so that there is no family competition arises for the same. 3. Remember Once your mind is set up for a particular course then try to stick at your decision & dont be confused for the second option again & again. |

Let us face the basic difference between these two streams. BBA and BCA, both are very good course to study...after BBA, you can do MBA and after BCA you can do MCA or MBA. For BCA, the minimum educational criteria is a pass in 10+2 in any stream with minimum 45% marks and should have either maths or computer as one of the subjects and should have english as a compulsory subject. For BBA, the minimum educational criteria is a pass in 10+2 from any stream with English as a subject with minimum 45% marks. For both the courses, Some colleges conducts their own entrance exam while some seeks admission on the basis of merit. The subjects that you have to learn in BCA are: *Computer Fundamentals. *C programming. *System Analysis & Design. *Web Design & Internet Programming. *Organizational Behaviour. *Visual Basic. *Computer Laboratory & Practical work. The subjects that you have to learn in BBA are: *Principles of Management. *Business Mathematics and Statistics. *Business Economics. *Introduction to Operations Research. *Financial and Management Accounting. *Production and Material Management. *Personnel Management and Industrial Relations. *Marketing Management. *Business Data Processing. *Business Laws. In short, BBA is for those who are interested in management such as business, corporate world, who has good leadership and managing skills etc. And BCA is for those who is always curious about computers, for those who has a hunger to know about the computers inside and outside every time, those who has a good programming skills, and those who want to join IT sectors. Now it fully depends on you to choose a stream. We are here to suggest you, but at the end of the day, it is you who is taking the decision. So think carefully and take your decision. All the best.... |

BBA - Bachelors of business administration ( 3 yr ) BCA - Bachelors of computer application ( 3 YR ) I would like to state these 4 points which would help up in making your mind for what to choose. 1.YOUR INTEREST > both BBA and BCA are different fields of study. > bca is study of computer applications whereas bba is related to management. > if you are good at logical resoning , maths and better at understanding algorithms then you should take bca. > but if your interest is in market , leadership , money , accounts , business etc then consider doing bba. POST GRADUATE STUDY > Since the market condition is tuff and only graduation degree is not enough to get a good job. > for this you have to do masters. > if you have decided to do bba then you have to go for mba which is 2 yr course. but if you go for bca you have to pursue mca which is 3 yr course. 3. JOB MARKET CONDITION > Make a projection about the job market after 5 yrs, which course you think will provide you job easily after 5 or 6 yrs. > which field you wanna join or in which job you are interested in ? > if you are interested in banking, management sectors then go for bba > if you wanna be an computer engineer , graphics designer , software engineer then apply bca. COURSE FEES > you should think about the course fees also , whether you can afford your studies or not. > usually fees of bca and bba are same but there is a high difference between the fees of MBA and MCA. > usually mca will cost you around 3,00,000- 4,00,000 for three course but studying mba in good college can cost you upto 10 lac for 2 yrs. ( almost 3 times more ) > Top institutes for mba like iims, xaviers ,xlri FEES is 13- 15 lac for 2 yrs. SO there in one funda for success ie. interest + long term thinking Best of luck . . |

BCA & BBA are both different platforms. BCA is about Computer, Softwares, Networks and BBA is about Business, Management, Finance. So, first think about your interest and then do that. If you are interested to make your career in computers then BCA is the right path and if you later think of getting management degree then you can also opt for MBA after BCA. |

Let me first tell you that I am also a commerce stream student and I did BCA+MCA to make my career with computers. I am currently working in Accenture and I have many colleagues here who are either B.Sc, B.Tech and very few are MCA. So, What I want to tell you is that you need to be good on your skills. The main thing needed here in the industry is Good Communication Skill, Good Attitude. The industry will train you for the technical skills that you will be working here. So, just chill and work on your communications and to be more preferred in IT industry just go and do BCA. You do not need to go for MCA to be in a IT giant like Accenture. |
