State syllabus means the syllabus will be same only for that particular state whereas CBSE syllabus means the syllabus will be same all over the country.

The entrance exam will be from state syllabus if the exam is conducted only in the state. If the exam is conducted across the country, then Central syllabus questions will be given in the entrance exam.
