As per the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) norms, admissions to B. Ed courses requires minimum 45 per cent marks. The duration of course is two years. Full time B.ed course comprise of two terms and four terms for part-time B.Ed. course. B.ED exams consist of Part A comprise of theory external assessment and Part B comprise of internal assessment.
During the admission time, candidates need to pick two subjects for teaching which they have studied in the graduation or masters. There are compulsory subjects like • Education in Emerging Indian Society • Psychology of Teaching Learning Process • School Management and Pedagogics of Education • Development of Educational System in India. • Optional subjects are like Essentials of Educational Technology • Information and Communication Technology • Guidance and Counselling • Educational Measurement and Evaluation • Comparative Education • Educational Administration • Health and Physical Education • Environmental Education • Home Science Candidates need to pick two options from language as well as one more subject like English/Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi, Social Studies (History/Civics/Economics/Geography), General Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and Mathematics. |
