What is the syllabus and exam pattern of Kerala Administrative Service examination?
I have completed B.Com. Am I eligible to apply for Kerala Administrative Service (KAS) examination? When and how should I apply for it? What is the exam syllabus and exam pattern? What is the passing criteria? Can anybody please share the sample test papers?

To apply for KAS , Candidates need a graduate degree from a recognised board or University. As B.com is a graduate degree, you are eligible for Kerala Administrative Service.
The expected Pattern of examination is as follows. 1.Preliminary Examination : 2 papers having a total of 200 mark combined. Each paper will have 100 marks OMR type objective type questions. 2. Mains examination : 3 papers having a total of 450 marks combined. Each paper will have 150 marks. The papers have said to be science subjects, Humanities, Kerala affairs 3. Interview : The candidate who cleared the main examination will be shortlisted and call for interview.. Now please go through the expected syllabus of Kerala Administrative Service Examination. For preliminary examination Paper 1: 100 questions, 100 marks, 75 minutes. Expected subjects: Kerala Facts( Kerala history, Kerala geography, Arts and culture, Literature,Tradition, Heritage of Kerala) India facts (India history, Geography of India) Indian constitution, political system and governance. Political and administrative system of Kerala. Economy and development of India and Kerala. Paper 2 :100 questions,100 marks 75 minutes. Expected Subjects: Science and Technology Reasoning ability Mental ability Data Interpretation General English Malayalam For mains examination 3 Descriptive papers of 150 marks Paper 1 : Science Paper 2 :Humanities Paper 3: Kerala Then finally Interview-50 marks. |
