i want to know the syllabus of GPSC examination AND WHEN IS THE EXAM OF GPSC I MEAN WHICH BOOKS ARE IMPORTANT FOR THIS EXAM PLZ GIVE ME SOME INFORMATION ABOUT IT

The last date for applying for this exam is 16th march 2012.

Eligibility for GPSC exam is -
You should be 12th pass from recognised board.

GPSC syllabus of history as optional subject

You should be 12th pass from recognised board is your answer, but isn't is require graduation? and i m studying B.E.EC (last year running), how i can prepare best for gpsc? and which are the better books for my sub as i selected geography and maths? and more is there probability about held exam in 2013?

GPSC stands for Gujarat Public Service Commision . GPSC exam taken by the Govt.of Gujarat for the post of Class 1 & Class 2 post .
After passing in GPSC one can get the post like Mamlatdar , Nayab Mamlatdar , Dy.SP , Deputy collector , TDO.

Age Limit : Your age limit must be between 21 - 28 years
The Relaxation for SC and ST age is for 5 years.,For OBC 3years .,For women’s in reserved quota it is 10 years.,For general Women’s it is 5 years..

QUALIFICATION: You must be graduate in any discipline from recognised university

PATTERN OF EXAMINATION:
The Gujarat Public Service Commission holds examination in two parts:

Primary Examinations
Mains Examinations
Interview

if you clears all these phase then you will be called for the training.

Eligibility criteria:-

The candidate should be complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

Final year graduation persuing candidates also eligible.

Percentage is not required for this exam.

Candidate must be a citizen of india.


Age criteria:-

The age limits are 21years to 28years,

For OBC candidates 3years age relaxation i.e 21 to 31years,

For SC/ST candidates 5years age relaxation i.e 21 to 33years.


Selection procedure:-

-->Preliminary exam,

-->Personal interview.

>> There is no percentage required for this examination
