Recently SBI has announced notification for the recruitment of 9500 Clerical positions.
The selection procedure for these positions is by -Written Exam -Interview The written exam consists of questions from the following categories -Reasoning -Quantitative Aptitude -General Awareness -General English -Marketing or Computer Knowledge. The question paper will be for 250 marks and there is negative marking for the wrong answers and in most cases it is 1/4 th in the sense for every 4 wrong answers that a candidate attempts, 1 mark from the actual marks he scored will be deducted. One should have to secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the categories of the written exam to get through written test. Candidates who are qualified in the written exam will be invited to Interview in the ratio of 1:3. So, the questions will be posed to the candidate from the above categories. There is no syllabus mentioned by SBI in the notification for this Exam. But the topics or areas from which the questions are being asked will be the same as like other bank exams. For General Awareness, the questions will be from the following categories -National affairs -International affairs -Bilateral affairs -Books and Authors -Sports -Persons in News etc. For English, try to be strong enough in -Comprehensions -Vocabulary -Grammar aspects As per the best books to prepare for this Exam, -I recommend you to follow R.S.Agarwal publications and Upkar publications for Reasoning, Aptitude and English -For General Awareness, I recommend you to follow a combination of YES publications current affairs and Mahindra publications magazine -You can also prepare for Banking Services Chronicle magazine -For Computer knowledge, you can purchase any book from the market which is good enough as per fundamentals and prepare. Syllabus for the SBI clerk exam: >Quantitative aptitude, >Reasoning, >general awareness, >general english, >basic computer knowledge. So you can follow the above syllabus and prepare well. There are lot of books to prepare for SBI clerk exam but R.S.Agarwal books and Upkar publications is good books to prepare for the bank clerk exams. All the best. |

State Bank of India is about to announce the notification details for the posts of clerical as well as probationary officer.There are almost 19,000 vacancies and the exam is expected to be within 3 to 4 months.The exam pattern consists of a written test and an interview.The written test is for 200 marks.There are 5 sections in the exam,each divided into 40 marks.The syllabus of the exam is mentioned below: General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning ability, English, Computer Knowledge and Marketing Aptitude.
