CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test and it is an All India Entrance Examination . This Examination is conducted by 14 National Law Universities.

If you have completed 12th standard from any stream with above 50% marks then you are eligible to attend in CLAT exam for admission in Under graduate course .

If you want to apply for Post graduate course , then you must have BL or LLB degree with above 55% marks .

The candidate age should not be more than 20 Years for under graduate course .

Exam pattern for CLAT Exam:-

• Elementary Mathematics (20 Marks)
• English including Comprehension (40 Marks)
• Legal Aptitude/Legal Awareness (45 Marks)
• General Knowledge/ Current Affairs (50 Marks)

CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test. This year the exam is being organized by Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur (HNLU).On 1st January notifications for the exam was published. From 15th January you can get the application forms from specified branches of SBI and CLAT NLUs. 30th March is the last day for submission of these filled in application forms. It needs to be done before 5 pm.

CLAT Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

• To sit for this exam you need to have a higher secondary school certificate or its equivalent. The percentage to secure is 45% of marks.
  
• For the reserved category candidates there is percentage relaxation. SC/ST students needs to get 40% of marks in aggregate.
  
• Your age should be below 20 years when applying for this exam. For SC/ST students the upper age limit is 22 years.
  
• Final year students awaiting the result of their final exam can also sit for this exam. They are also eligible.
  
• The cost of the application form is Rs. 3000. For SC/ST students the cost of the application form is Rs. 2500.
