Hi, could anybody please confirm me about the upper age limitation for the post of Librarian in Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB)? Is there any age relaxation for any caste category candidates?

Upper age limit for the post of Librarian in Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) is 37 years. Yes, there is relaxation in upper age limit for caste category candidates.

Eligibility for the post of Librarian in DSSSB:

Age Limit:
Age of candidate must be from 21 to 37 years. Relaxation in age is also there as per government norms:
-5 years for SC/ST Candidates
-3 years for OBC Candidates
-10 years for PH Candidates
-15 years for PH+SC/ST Candidates
-13 years for PH+OBC Candidates
-Period of Military Services and additional 3 years for Ex. Servicemen candidates

Education Eligibility:

1. Candidate must have passed graduation from any recognised university along with diploma in Library Science and Candidate must have atleast one year’s of professional experience.
Or
2. Candidate must have bachelor degree in Library Science.

Typing speed of candidate must be atleast 30 words per minute in typewriting on computer. It is desirable not compulsory.

Pay Scale : Rs. 9300/- to Rs. 34800/-

Grade Pay : Rs.4200/-
