Hi, I am 32 years old. Am I eligible for the post of PRT in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS)? What is the standard upper age limit? Is there any age relaxation for any caste category candidates?

The upper age limit to apply for KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan) Primary Teacher recruitment is 30 years in case of candidates from general category. Further, there is provision of upper age relaxation in case of candidates from reserved category as per the government norms. Also, there is provision of age relaxation upto 10 years in case of women candidates from all category.

Age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3 years, for SC / ST candidates is 5 years, Women( all categories) is 10 years, for PH candidates age limit is10 years, for Ex - Serviceman is 3 years.

• 5 years for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates.
• 3 years for Other Backward Classes candidates.
• 10 years for candidates belonging to Physical Handicapped category.
• 5 years for Persons ordinarily domiciled in State of Jammu & Kashmir during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989
