It is tough to qualify in the examination with much heavy working duration as your working hours is about 9 hrs. But above all if you are determined to qualify in the examination you can.

The examination for the UPSC conducted in the two stages as the Preliminary , Mains and the Interview. To qualify in the examination the candidates need to have good knowledge of almost all the subjects as Geography, Politics, History, Economics, Science, Mathematics English.

So go through these and from now start going through the magzanies and the The Hindu newspaper for a look at the events taking place around the world.

So start the preparation for the examination and give the maximum you can and leave the result on your fate. For more information about the examination visit at the www.upsc.gov.in.

As you are working professional, you must have to make time table for rest of time when you are not working. Proper sleep is also necessary for efficient working under physical and mental conditions.

Cracking Civil Services examination is not an easy task, you must do hard work along with determination, dedication and devotion towards preparation. The various stages of Civil Services examination is:

1. Preliminary examination.

2. Mains examination.

3. Personal interview.

Leaving optional subjects, majority of questions in prelims and mains exam are from History, Geography and Political science and Economics. So start reading NCERT books for all these subjects at basic level then start reading core books for this subject. Give at least 1 hour each to these subjects in night or in early morning.

In office hours, read daily newspapers for current affairs and latest national and international affairs. Select one optional paper from list given on websites and work on it. On weekends revise all the things which you have read in whole weeks and on job holidays, study more leaving all stuffs.

UPSC conducts the Civil Services examination every year. Any bachelor's degree holder can apply for this examination. The age limit is 21-32 years for candidates of general category.

The preparation strategy for the preliminary and mains exam of Civil services are as below:

>>The first advice which I would like to give you is that do not waste time here and there after your office hours. Utilize even minutes of days for preparation when you are free from job. After doing job from 10 to 7 pm, take a rest of 1-2 hours. After that study for at least 3-4 hours upto 1 am different subjects like History, Civics, Economics and Geography.

>> At basic level read NCERT books from 6th to 10+2. In morning wake up upto 7 am and read for at least two hours before going to job. Read newspapers for current affairs and latest national and international affairs in office hours.

>>Revision should be done in the weekend or on job holidays. Be consistent with your daily routine, you will get success. Never deviate from the path, be determined towards your goal.
