A 12th pursuing student is eligible for all the entrance examinations for which a 12th passed student is eligible but he/she must satisfy the required eligibility criteria.

For appearing in engineering entrance examinations the general criteria required are as following :-

--> You must have the nationality of India with age lying within 17 years to 25 years till the final date of year in which you are appearing for the same examination.

--> You must secure at least 50% aggregate in your higher secondary board examinations from a recognized board of education. Also your higher secondary board academics must consist of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as your main subjects.

Basically the most important engineering entrance examinations for admissions in the top government or private engineering colleges known for providing quality education and high placements are as JEE, State EEE, COMED-K, BITSAT, SRMEEE, VITEEE, etc.

At this level of academics you have the option of defense field or railways for which you have to clear the NDA examination and SCRA examination respectively.
