XAT stands for Xavier Aptitude Test. It is an all-India test conducted by Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI). You can give this examination if you are looking for admission to the post graduate programs in management courses of several management institutes all over India.

There are many top colleges which accept XAT scores for admission to their programs. XAT is a paper based aptitude test, followed by a subjective test on essay writing & general awareness.

To give the XAT exam the basic qualification which is needed is a graduate degree. You must be a graduate from a recognized university or a deemed university. If you are appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree and awaiting results then also you can apply.

As said earlier in the exam there will be an aptitude test and then a subjective one. In the aptitude section there will be 25 questions from Decision Making, 30 questions from Verbal and Logical Ability and 36 questions from Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation. You will get 140 minutes to complete this section.

As far as the Essay & General Awareness section goes for this section you will get 40 minutes only. From General Awareness section 40 questions will be asked and they will be mainly on Current Affairs & factual GK. You have to attempt both the essay as well as the General Awareness questions.
