I am willing to apply SBI clark post. Its education qualification criteria says min 60% marks in 12th std or graduate . I have scored 50 % in 12th but im appearing last year of BA whos exam is on coming April 12 . Can I qualifies criteria? Can i apply?

Dear Aspirant!

You have secured 50% marks in 12th standard whereas minimum marks required to appear in 12th standard is 60%(50% for ST/SC category). So on the basis of you 12th qualification you can not eligible to apply for SBI Bank Clerk Exam.

But don't worry as you are perusing BA course so you can also apply for SBI Clerk on basis of BA degree.


Basic eligibility criteria for SBI Clerk Exam:

~~ You should have completed 12th Standard or equivalent qualification with minimum of aggregate 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ PWD).
OR
~~ You should have completed Graduation degree course in any stream from recognized university.

~~ Your Age should be in between 18 to 28 years. Relaxation in upper age limit for reserve category candidates as given below..

-SC / ST - 5 years
-OBC - 3 years
-PWD (Gen) - 10 years
-PWD (SC /ST) - 15 years
-PWD (OBC) - 13 years

~~ You should be Indian. Both Male & Female are eligible for SBI Bank Clerk.

Eligible candidates can apply for SBI clerk exam online by using SBI official website. So, please wait till notification announced then fill SBI Clerk Application form online. Application fee is 350 rupees for general and OBC Candidates 50 rupees for SC/ST Candidates.

You are not eligible to apply for SBI clerk exam on the basis of 12th marks but as you are pursing Graduation Degree so after completion you will be eligible for SBI Clerk exam.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA OF SBI CLERICAL EXAM:-

-The candidate must be an Indian Citizen
-Should have completed 12th in any stream with 60% marks from a recognised Board OR

Hi,

The educational qualification (as on 01.12.2011) for SBI:

Minimum 12th standard pass or equivalent with 60% marks in aggregate. 55% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EX Servicemen.

OR

A Graduation level degree from a recognized university.

The aggregate marks in 12th is obtained by dividing the marks got in all the subjects (irrespective of additional/ optional additional subjects) by aggregate maximum marks in the exam.

If you have got 50% in 12th and still have not finished your graduation then you are not eligible for SBI clerical cadre exam, and thus you can not apply for the exam this year.

Otherwise as per your conditions , You are not eligible for SBI Clerical exam because the minimum educational qualification required to be eligibile to appear in SBI Clerical exam is that

Yes you are eligible to sit for the exam since you have secured more than the pass marks at UG level. Therefore you will be allowed to sit for the exam. To know more about this exam read the eligibility criteria below.

SBI Clerk Exam Criteria:-

• You must be a citizen of India.
  
• You need to secure 60% of marks at 10+2 level.
  
• SC/ST candidates needs to get 55% of marks at 10+2 level.
  
• You need to get 40% of marks at graduation level.
  
• Reserved category candidates needs to get 35% of marks at UG level.
  
• You should be a diploma holder with minimum 60% of marks. The minimum duration of the course should not be less than two years and it should not be done in correspondence.
  
• Your age should not be less than 18 years when applying for this exam. The age should not exceed the maximum age limit of 28 years either.
  
• There is relaxation for the reserved category candidates. It is 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
  
• The salary of an SBI clerk may vary from 7300 to 19300.

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern:-

There will be five papers to solve and each for paper 40 marks have been allotted. For the whole exam 200 marks have been allotted and you need to complete the full paper in 135 minutes. It is important to pass in every single paper.

Answer very cautiously because there is negative marking too. For each wrong answer 1/4th marks will be deducted from the original score. The syllabus is not that tough. So if you prepare well then you will be able to answer with high accuracy.

If any question is too difficult for you then better skip that. Dont lose marks over there. On answering about 65% of them will help you qualify. But to be in the safe zone its always recommended to secure more marks than that.

SBI Clerk Examination required Minimum 60% Percentage of marks in 12th standard in Order appear in the Examination.. But you have scored 50% Percentage of marks in your 12th standard .. So, as per your 12th standard qualification your not applicable for SBI Clerk Examination ..

Note :- If your Completed your graduation course with any backlogs then your eligible for SBI Clerk Examination ..
