Yes, you are eligible to apply for SBI and other banks clerical examinations since there is no particular percentage criteria is required. The main eligibility criteria is "Candidates must have passed their Graduation or Bachelor Degree" from a recognized university. This is the major eligibility criteria, apart from this there is no other important criteria. Since you have passed graduation with 38%, you are certainly eligible to apply for Bank clerical examinations.

Basic Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed "Bachelor Degree" or "Graduation" in any DISCIPLINE from a recognized university.

Age Criteria:
Minimum age - 21 years
Maximum age - 28 years
Note: Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ ST candidates as per government norms.

Clerical cadre is treated as Junior job role (Starting job role), for which you can apply with Graduation qualification. I suggest you to score 80% marks of total conducted marks to get through Interview and final job selection easily even having low percentage in Graduation.

Yes definitely you are eligible to apply for the SBI Clerk Examination. There is No requirement of percentage criteria to apply for any Bank examination. Excluding SBI there is Common written examination under IBPS and through this you can go through the various Public sector banks and lots of grameen banks.

Various ways to enter into the Banking Sector :

1.SBI (Clerk and PO/MT)

2.IBPS (Clerk and PO/MT )

3.IBPS RRB (Office Assistants and Officer Scale I and II )

And Some PSB's releases individual notification as per the requirements of Job posts.

Yes of course, you are absolutely eligible to apply for SBI Clerks. No worries about what you have obtained in your graduation. In official notification, they didn't have mentioned anything about percentage. So, you are free to apply for the examination and you are eligible to apply for IBPS exam as well. But don't think the bank examinations are very easy. It is tough to crack without perfect plan and proper effort from your side. SBI Eligibility wise, you should have a degree. It is enough to both the Probationary Officer and Clerical cadre of SBI. Slight differ from age limits of SBI for PO and Clerical.

For Clerical, you should have minimum 20 years of age and maximum 28 year of age. For PO, you should have minimum 21 years of age and maximum 30 years of age. The same qualification was followed in IBPS Clerical Cadre. For PO, you should have a degree and your age should be between 20 to 30 years. You are qualification wise; you are definitely eligible to apply for Clerical and PO Exam as well.

Do not worry about what you have obtained previously but focus on your preparation for Clerk and PO examination because you are eligible to seat in both for SBI as well as IBPS because there is no specific requirement to seat in the examination.

But do not take it easy because it is very tough to pass in the examination as the examination procedure is in two steps.

1.Written Examination.
2.Interview.

The written paper consists of questions of English , Reasoning ,General Knowledge, Computer and Numerical Ability .

There is age criteria o 19-30 yrs and 21-31 yrs or Clerk and PO respectively for general reservation in age for other category students.
