GPSC exam taken by the Govt of Gujarat for the Class 1 & 2 posts

Eligibility :

Candidates must be Indian

Educational Qualification :

Candidates must have Graduation in any stream from a recognized University

Final year student is also eligible for apply

Age Limit :

Candidates age limit between 21 to 28 years

The relaxation as per govt rules

3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates

5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates

There is no rule for Number of Attempts

Preliminary Examination

Main Examination

Personality Test

Preliminary Examination Pattern :

It consist of two papers

Paper I : General Studies : 150 marks

Paper II : One subject to be selected from a the list of optional subjects 200 marks

Total : 350 marks

Main Examination Pattern :

Paper I : Gujarati : 200 marks

Paper II : English : 200 marks

Paper III : General Studies : 200 marks

Paper IV & V two subjects to be selected from the list of optional subjects : 200 marks

Total : 1000 marks

Interview : 100 marks for interview

The acronym for GPSC is Gujarat Public Service Commission.
This exam conducted by the Gujarat State government.

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidate should have to hold a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university.

No need of percentage restrictions.

The candidate must be an Indian citizen.


Age criteria:-

The age limits are 21 years to 28 years,

3 years upper age relaxation for OBC category candidates,

5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST category candidates.


Selection process:-

Preliminary examination,

Mains examination,

Personal interview.


Syllabus details:-

Prelims exam:-

Paper-I: 150 marks,

Paper-II: 200 marks.

Mains exam:

Paper-I: Gujarati 200 marks,

Paper-II: English 200 Marks,

Paper-III: General studies 200,
