National eligibility cum entrance test (NEET) will allow class XII students to appear in single entrance exam to get admission for almost all medical colleges in india, including private medical colleges.
-A single merit list will be created for close to 35,000 MBBS seats across the country which will show state, minorities & SC/ST quotas.
-Management quotas candidates should come from the national merit list.
-The objectives will be set up a standard for basic medical education.
-Under Graduate courses at AIIMS, New Delhi & Post-Graduate institution for medical education & Research in Chandigarh,will be outside the NEET's exam norms, as these two institutes were set up by seperate laws which need to be amended in parliament to introduce the new system.
The exam may commence in the month of May, next year. Although MCI (Medical Council of India), has not released the Notification for NEET-2012.Hence on discloser of notification the exact Dates can be known.For more information you can visit the official site of MCI-www.mciindia.org

NEET- NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST is an entrance test for 12th standard students to get admission into all medical colleges in India including some private Medical colleges.

The notificatio for this exam is yet to be announced which is expected in the month of May 2012 by MCI (Medical Council of India).

you should goto the website of 'MCI' .

The colleges which are not taking part in this examination are ::

Armed Forces Medical College
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)
Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research.

>>This examination is going to be conduct first time in 2012 which means from the next year .This examination is conducted by the CBSE .

Eligibility for the examination ::

You must have passed class 12th with biology as one of the compulsory subjects

You must have scored at least 50% marks for the general students and 40% marks for the reserved caste students.

Examination pattern ::

The question papers is of objective types in English and Hindi languages and will contain three section .

Physics ::30% marks
Chemistry ::30% marks
Biology::40% marks

Total 250 questions will be asked

75 questions from physics and chemistry each
100 from Biology
Duration of the examination -> 3 hours .

There will be negative marking for every wrong answer .

Important Dates Tentative ::

Start of selling of the application form ::Third week of December 2011
Last date to apply online and offline is ::January 15th 2012.
