Polytechnic::

• Polytechnic course in West Bengal has a duration of 3 years which offers courses in Engineering with 1 and half year of Post diploma course also its having 4 years part time evening diploma courses.

Admission::

• 60% of seats in West Bengal are filled through JEXPO i.e. Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics (JEXPO) .
• 40% of seats are filled with Madhyamik Pariksha OR Equivalent
• Out of these seats there are reservation for girls candidates upto 50%

Eligibility criteria::

• For 3 years of diploma: Candidates should pass 10+2 or equivalent examination.
• For 2 years of diploma in Pharmacy: Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology.
• For 3 years of diploma in Engineering and Tech. 10+ should be cleared with Science and Mathematics. 60% is the minimum marks to be scored in Maths and Physical science.

About applications::

• Application forms are available at different polytechnic centers like in Bankura K.G. Engineering Institute, Bishnupur, In birbhum Sree Ramkrishna Silpa Vidyapith, In Burdwan Asansol Polytechnic or Kalna Polytechnic and more.

POLYTECHNIC ENTRANCE EXAM is compulsory to take admission into Engineering three year diploma course . Polytechnic college offers three years diploma course in various subjects - civil , mechanical , electrical , electronics chemical , Information Technology etc.
