Indian Army offer dignified, discipline and prestigious career. There are hundreds of diverse activities in the Indian Army. Accordingly, the nature of responsibilities also varies. The Indian Army consists of various arms divisions and services.

Among these, clerk service is one. For the recruitment of clerks Indian Army conducts an exam namely Indian Army Soldier Clerk Exam. The examination is held four times a year, and is advertised in the Employment News and leading newspapers.

Report to rally site on the dates announced on Notice Board along with your Educational Certificate, Birth Certificate (in original) domicile certificate, character certificate and six passport size photographs.

Indian Army Clerk Exams Eligibility Criteria
Nationality: Unmarried male Indian citizens (including those of Nepal) are eligible.

Age: 17-23 Years

Educational Qualifications: 10 2/Intermediate exam passed in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 50% marks in aggregate and min 40% in each subject. Weightage for higher qualification.

Medical Standards

A candidate should have robust physique and good mental health. Chest should be well developed having minimum 5 Cms expansion. Should have normal hearing with each ear and good binocular vision in both eyes. He should be able to read 6/6 in distant vision chart with each eye. Colour vision should be CP-III. Should recognize red and green colours. Should have sufficient number of natural healthy gum and teeth i.e. minimum 14 dental points. Should not have disease like deformity of bones, hydrocele and varicocle or piles.

Physical Fitness Tests (PFT)

To determine the Physical Fitness, the following tests carrying 100 marks are held:-

(b) Pull Ups
(c) Balance
(d) 9 Feet Ditch

These are qualifying test and no marks are awarded.
Indian Army Clerk Written Exams
Eligible candidates will be required to appear for a written test. Common Entrance Examination (CEE) is conducted on 4th Sunday of Jan, Mar, May, July, September & November, for recruitment of Soldiers. It comprises of the following two papers:

Paper-I : It generally comprises of questions on IQ, Numerical ability, General knowledge and current affairs.

Duration of papers is 60 minutes.
Total marks 100
Pass Marks 32

Paper-II : It generally comprises of Maths & English (Language Proficiency).

Duration - 30 minutes.
Total marks 50 marks
Pass Marks-16.

In addition to paper 1 Sol Clk has to qualify in their respective paper.
