You will not have any issues in applying for government jobs after doing B.Tech degree through distance mode. The important point that you have to keep in mind is that you have to join an AICTE approved university. There are lots of universities which offer engineering degree in distance mode. Annamalai, Bharathiar, IGNOU etc are some of the best universities for distant learning. Since you have completed your diploma, you can directly start your engineering course from the second year onwards through the lateral entry scheme.
