Who all are eligible for Bachelor's in Library Science?

Am I eligible for Bachelor of Library Science as I have completed B.Com followed by B.Ed? Is it a good course? What kind of jobs can I get with these degrees?

Yes, you can pursue Bachelor of Library Science as per your current qualification.

Note that to pursue this course, you should have completed graduation course (Bachelor degree) in any discipline from any recognized institution.

Since, you have completed B.Com course as well as B.Ed. course, so you can apply for pursuing Bachelor of Library Science course. But after completing B.Ed. course, it would be worthless to complete B.Lib. course.

Because, you can get teaching jobs on the basis of your B.Ed. course. If you are looking teaching jobs in govt. schools, then you need to qualify TET entrance exams of state level or central level (CTET). After qualifying these exams and then counselling, you can get jobs in govt. schools.

However, if you wish to complete Bachelor of Library Science course from Distance mode side by side while doing job, then you can pursue it from these notable universities:
  • Globel Open University
  • Dr. BR Ambedkar University
  • Annamalai University
  • IGNOU
  • Nalanda Open University
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
