I gave the exam for medical & scored 81 out of 240. Will i get any chance in getting through it.what is the cut off marks for manipal university ?

Is there any chance for me to get admissions in to BE computers or ECE after scoring 122 out of 240 in Manipal online entrance test 2012

i scored 132/240 in manipal pmt....cn i get mbbs seat??

got 174 in manipal entrance test..any chances to get mbbs??

Yes, you may certainly expect a seat in the manipal university with 127 marks.
You can expect courses like:

• Mechanical engineering
• Civil engineering
• Biotechnology engineering
• IT
• Chemical engineering
• Bioinformatics
• Biomedical engineering

Getting a seat in Computer science and electronics will be a close call but you might get those as well.

I am sorry to tell you that getting a seat in manipal University with 18000 rank is highly unlikely for pursuing B.tech in the core engineering courses. You may get a course like printing technology or textile engineering.

However, you should consider taking admission in other deemed universities such as SRM,VIT,BITS amongst all others.

Also, you may enquire if you can "buy" a seat in the university(there are rumours about getting a seat through donation though the university clearly denies it)

Worst case scenario, you can consider taking a drop for a year, study well and reach the pinnacle of success with your preparation and hard work.

Hi friend.

Though you have been called for the counselling session for admission in Manipal University, the chances of you getting a core course are bleak.

This is because the streams are allotted on the basis of the rank of a candidate in the Manipal OET(Online Entrance Test).

Your rank is unfortunately a bit on the higher side, which means that all the available seats in the core streams of engineering will be occupied by the time your chance comes in the counselling.

However, as you have mentioned civil engineering, I am happy to tell you that it is a course which doesnt need a very good rank for admission, because the top rankers do not prefer this course(they prefer CS, Electrical, Mechanical mostly).

So you do have a slight chance of getting Civil Engineering in Manipal university, though you may not get :

1. Computer science
2. Electrical
3. Electronics
4. IT
5. Automobile
6. Mechanical

Hi friend

With the rank you have obtained, it will be easier to tell you the courses you may definitely not get. The courses you should NOT expect are:

1.Computer Science
2.Electronics engineering
3.Mechanical engineering

Also you are on the border line to get courses such as IT, automobile engineering in the Manipal campus. You can expect to get all other courses with ease inthe very first round of counselling.

* It is not really possible to obtain seat in the Manipal University securing a proportion of 81 because the grade scale of marks that is being fixed by the officials for an MBBS seat is really high which is literally above 180.

* So i would better suggest you to appear for some other national level medical entrance examinations.
