Manipal University provides 3 year BSc. Applied Sciences programme. The programme is available in Manipal Institute of Technology. MIT was established in 1957 as Manipal Engineering College. With its over 50 years heritage and expertise in engineering education it is considered to be amongst the best private engineering colleges in India. It has affiliations with several national and international organisations and has also been accredited by NAAC.

Candidates are selected for BSc. Applied Sciences Programme on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying exam. Candidates from all over India can apply for admission to BSc programme of MIT

Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Mathematics & any one of Chemistry/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology/Statistics/Engineering Drawing with atleast 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Maths and the optional subject from the ones mentioned. Also a candidate should have had passed in English. Candidates appearing for 10+2 examinations in 2010 can also apply.

Application Forms:

The forms will be available from the institute and selected State Bank of India and Axis Bank branches. The form can also be obtained by post from Manipal University by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form. Candidates can also download the form or apply online through the website www.manipal.edu.

• Last Date of Submission of Application Forms: 30th June, 2010

Selection Procedure:

Candidates will have to submit the copies of their marksheets of the qualifying exam along with the application forms. On the basis of aggregate marks obtained by candidates in their qualifying exam a merit will be prepared on whose basis the admissions will be done.
