Re: Can I appear for BPSC or UPSC exam after doing B.Sc in computer science or B.Sc in IT(Information Technology)?
The basic and minimum qualification required for BPSC (Bihar Public Service Commission) Combined Competitive Examination simply referred as BPSC examination and Civil Services examination (often referred as UPSC examination) is a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
So, once you complete your B.Tech. in Computer Science degree course which is a graduation degree, you will be definitely eligible for appearing in the BPSC examination and the Civil Services examination as far as the educational qualification for the same examination is concerned. For complete details regarding the BPSC examination, you can refer to the link www.bpsc.bih.nic.in while for details regarding the UPSC examination, you can refer to the link www.upsc.nic.in. |

Re: Can I appear for BPSC or UPSC exam after doing B.Sc in computer science or B.Sc in IT(Information Technology)?
Yes, you can appear in BPSC or UPSC exam. You just need to have a valid graduation degree from any stream to appear in IAS examination (UPSC)or (BPSC). But computer science is not in the optional list of UPSC or BPSC. So, you have to choose an optional from the list on the basis of your interest and availability of resources. As you have mentioned you are a CS Graduate, you will score good in science and tech and this will also help you in your Gs paper in Mains.
