Re: MCA or MSc (computer technology)? after BSc. in computer science?
well it is purely your choice weather you want to go for MCA or MSc but what i can do is suggest you what does these both really mean and how are they a bit different, than they sound MCA is mainly the aaplicative part of computers that is the reason more of the MCA guys find place in major multinations as they want people who know more of the applicative part of computers, where as MSc is mainly descriptive part and mainly a study of computers where you will get a insight into how things happen with computers..
so choose yourself and i hope by this you will make a right decision but it is not that MSc students are behind MCA students both work toe to toe and are very much similar in their work.. good luck. bye take care... |

Re: MCA or MSc (computer technology)? after BSc. in computer science?
Hi both the course is good but there is matter that MSc. take two year and MCA take three year and also have the more value of the MCA, so in my view it is good to do MCA, after MCA you can do one year certificate course in ALCCS(advance level course in computer science) from IETE which has valued as M TECH certificate
for ALCCS- go to the link <www.iete.org> |

dear friend
its your choice as both MCA and MSc in the field would help you a lot if you want to increase your knowledge about the subject i would suggest you to go for MSc because the scope for learning is more but remember MCA is good as well just ask yourself what you want to learn refer to the syllabus of both the courses and choose what you like the best good luck |

dear friend
both MSC and MCA has its own importance .. what you need to do is just choose what you want to do.. basically MCA is totally a computer based study and you can get more opportunity in doing this.. whereas in doing MSC you have a limited opportunity.. its my suggestion to do MCA because there are lots of multinational companies and they require computer knowlege.. after all its your choice.. choose with your interest.. all the best for you career. |

MCA and MSc both fields are good at there respective place.Though MCA will be much better for you rather than MSc(Computer Technology) as it is in more demand in software jobs. So, choice wisely and best of luck.

Re: MCA or MSc (computer technology)? after BSc. in computer science?
Absolutely, It does have a value to do mca by correspondence, but then , if You do some job also while doing mca..But also I would like to suggest you to do MSC(Computer Science) first, after that do mca with lateral entry scheme. bcoz with lateral entry scheme, the duration of mca will be only of 1 year. And thus You can collect 2 degrees in 3 years (2 years of msc and 1 year of mca).there are so many universities that have mca with lateral entry scheme such as IGNOU, Guru Jambeshwar University, Maharishi dayanand University etc..

Re: MCA or MSc (computer technology)? after BSc. in computer science?
Hello friend,
If you have interest to gain deep knowledge in your subject then choose M.Sc and do further studies like phd and researches in the relevant field. Otherwise, MCA will ve the best option for you. MCA is totally computer application based course. Different software developement companies hire MCA students with lucrating salary packages. Here you can have better job prospects in case of MCA. Now it is your choice what way you want to go. All the best. Re: MCA or MSc (computer technology)? after BSc. in computer science?
Well, if you are Interested in Programing then MCA is better option.
But keeping in mind the present situation of Market MCA will only be helpful either you have persued MCA from a Good Institute haveing compusing or Have at least 3 years of Industry experiance. Otherwise after completing your MCA and having some PG diploma job prospect will become much better. MCA if little bit suffering because of increasing number of Computer Engineers. One more option is just complete your M.sc and go for M.Tech (CSE). For that you have to go through GATE, but the result will be much better. However, just having M.sc (CS) is not enough you have acquire some extra degree diploma for getting good job in good company. Regards ~Faiyaz~ |

Msc AND MCA both are good but a little bit different Msc will be a general science in computer it is both descriptive and analytical subject.if u will choose it than it will carry u to research in computer . but MCA is an application in computer science . this is totally applied in software making and application an industries . so it depends on u that what u will choose 4 ur carrier. all the best 4 ur carrier. continue to ask us ur queries? |

After B.Sc in computer science, i will suggest you just go for MCA, it is best course for you after completing your B.sc Because after completing MCA you will get a post of software engineering, but i think both the courses offer good career platforms in future. So, i will suggest you, just choose those field, in which you have great interest. But according to me MCA is best path for you. |

Well, I think yes..........! Thats because "Doeacc ' A' level" is equivalent to Advance Diploma in Computer Application, and any Advance Diploma course is a course 1 step forward to Bachelor dergee. I means its between Bachelor dergee and a Post Graduate Diploma. So, you must be eligible. Quote:
Better opt for B.sc (CS). |

Re: MCA or MSc (computer technology)? after BSc. in computer science?
Dear arun,
Its better to do MCA after Bsc. as in present scenario there is fight for computer based study. Howsoever both are computer ralated but demand for MCA graduates are more. but it is truely based on your part of interest . you should decide whether to go for IT based indrustries or be a part of Masters and do research. |

dear friend,
u r a student of B.sc computer sc., then u can do MCA rather than Msc. if u do MCA after ur graduation then it help u a lot as ur a student from computer sc. field.. if u r interested to go in technical field then my suggestion is to go for MCA. there u can easily get job after ur master degree.. but if u want to do Msc. in computer technology then u may go for it. but getting job in general line is very tough ... so , i will suggest u to go for MCA.
