Yes, the Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering can join Police department. The eligibility to the Sub Inspector post is a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognised university. So you can apply for Constable Post with your qualifications. You should be physically fit for the post. You have to appear for the written examination and physical test for the selection. The competition will be very high, so you have to prepare well for the selection.

No, diploma candidates are not eligible for any post in police.

If you have completed 12th standard from a recognized board, then you are eligible for constable post in Police. Your age should be in between 18 to 27 years.

If you have completed graduation degree from a recognized University, then you are eligible for SI, ASI, IPS ooficer in Police. Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years.
