Job Profile:

Office of the Senior Superintendent of Police is looking forward to recruit eligible candidates on the post of Constable Band Staff in Chandigarh Police. The posts that are available in the Chandigarh Police are Constable Band Staff (Brass Band) and Constable Band Staff (Pipe Band). Candidates must ensure their eligibility for the post before applying for it.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for the post of Constable Band Staff is 18 years.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Constable Band Staff is 23 years.

Candidates falling under the reserved categories (SC/ST etc.) may get relaxation in the upper age limit set for the post. The relaxation will be provided to the reserved categories candidates as per the rules of Government of India.

Physical Standard:

Height of candidates should be atleast 5′7”.
Chest of candidates (only for male) should be atleast 33” (with expansion of one and half inch).

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to possess the minimum educational qualification set for the post of Constable Band Staff in Chandigarh Police. Those candidates, who have retired from the defence services and have worked as a member of the Defence Band Staff, should posses the Middle Standard qualification.

Pay Scale:

Constable Band Staff (Brass Band): Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.
Constable Band Staff (Pipe Band): Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1900.

Selection Process:

Selection Process for the above mentioned position includes two stages:

1. Competitive Written Test or Interview Test and,
2. Physical Fitness Test.
