Respected Sir, I want to apply a form for my education but I am confused about my caste. I am Lingayath caste so I want to know does Lingayath caste belongs to OBC category? Please answer as soon as possible.

Lingayath caste Comes under OBC category. It has different sub -castes & all are OBC. So, you can enjoy the benefit of OBC category when you apply for a job & for your education purpose.

You have to check the list of caste released by state and central government to make sure whether you belong to OBC category or not. Also, you have to make sure, that you come under non creamy layer.

For state government jobs your caste should be in state list and for central government jobs, your caste should be on central list.
