If you fulfill below given criteria then you are eligible for Police Constable post.

Those candidates who have completed 10th standard from a recognized board are eligible for Constable post.

Your age should be in between 18 to 27 years.

Minimum Physical Standard:

i) For Male Candidates:
Height-1.67 mtrs.
Weight-51.5 Kgs
Chest-79 cms with a minimum expansion of 5 cms

ii) For Female Candidates:-
Height-1.60 mtrs.
Weight- 45 Kgs

Eligibility Criteria Required to join Police Constable Post:

No, you are not eligible to apply for Police Constable post with the above mentioned height. Here are the basic physical standards required for the post of Police Constable. The minimum height required are,

For Male:

>> Minimum Height Required - 168 cms (for General Candidates/ OBC/ SC)

>> Minimum Height Required - 160 cms (for ST Candidates)

For Female:

>> Minimum Height Required - 154 cms (for General/ OBC/ SC candidates)

>> Minimum Height Required - 147 cms (For ST Candidates)

Note: If we convert 168 cms into inches, then it should be 66.1417 inches. As you have not met the physical standard, you are not eligible based on my knowledge.

The candidate should complete intermediate or it's equivalent course.

The age limit should be 18 to 23 years and the relaxation of three years for OBC candidates, five years for SC/ ST cindidates.


Height imit:
The minimum height should be 167.6 cms
Chest should be 86.3 cms with an expansion of 5 cms..
