Hell friends, can anyone of you let me know about the exemption which is available in CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test NET of this year for SC/ST/OBC candidates? I belongs to the OBC category and I want to know about the exemptions available for me. Please tell me asap. Thank you!

You can avail age relaxation if you belong to SC/ST/OBC category candidate. You can also get a concession on application fee while applying for the recruitment.

You can also avail reservation benefit based on your caste if there are vacancies available for your category.

Exemptions available in CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test NET recruitment for SC/ST/OBC candidates:

SC/ST candidates can get 5% relaxation in the qualifying marks. Qualifying marks for general and OBC-NCL category is 55%.

There is a concession on application fee for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) and SC / ST / PWD as given below:

For General category - Rs. 1000/-

For OBC (Non Creamy Layer) - Rs. 500/-

For SC / ST / PWD category - Rs. 250

Exemptions available in CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test NET recruitment for OBC candidate is shared below:-
The minimum educational qualification required to apply for CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test NET recruitment is Post graduation M.Sc or equivalent with minimum 55% marks. it is 50% for candidates of SC/ST, OBC and Persons with disability.

:-The maximum age to apply for CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test NET recruitment is 28 years. Age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years is offered to OBC and SC/ST candidates.


The cost of CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test NET recruitment application form is Rs.1000. For OBC (Non-Creamy layer) is Rs.500 and SC/ST candidate is Rs.250

Exemption for OBC category in CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test NET :

You will get the following exemption in CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test NET.

1. Age limit and Relaxation:-

For JRF(NET) exam, candidates age should be maximum 28 years. But If you are belonging to OBC (non-creamy layer) then upper age limit may be relaxable up to 03 years.

2. Examination Fees :-

For General candidate, CSIR UGC National Eligibility Test NET exam fee is
Rs. 1000/-. But If you are belonging to OBC (non-creamy layer), then You have to pay only Rs. 500/-.

The relaxation available bin CSIR UGC NET for sc/St/OBC is as

Exam fee for general 1000,, for obc-500,, for sc/st/pwd - rs 250

Age relaxation: as per new notification maximum age limit for JRF 28 years .. 5 years relaxation for sc/St and 3 years relaxation for OBC is available..
