How can I become an IAS Officer? Salary and number of jobs available?
If i take comerse and i interested in maths. Then how i become an i.a.s officer and what salary i recieve after complete graduation.in future how much job is available for become an i.a.s officer

The eligibility criteria required to apply for IAS exam are as under :-
-The candidate should be an Indian. -The candidate should have passed graduation degree in any stream with any percentage from a government recognized university. -The age limit to apply for the exam is from 21 years to 32 years for general category.There is relaxation in upper age limit by 3 years for OBC candidates, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for PWD (People with Disability) candidates. -The no. of attempts for the exam is 4 times for general category under the creamy layer,7 times for OBC candidates and no limits for SC/ST candidates. -The exam process is conducted in three phases: * CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test) in May/June. * Mains (Civil Services Mains) in Oct/Nov. * Personality test (Interview) in Feb/Mar of the following year. The salary for an IAS officer is Basic Pay: Rs 23,640 D.A. (@65%): Rs 15,366 H.R.A.(@30%): Rs 7,092 T.A.: 5,280 Total: Rs 51,378 The basic salary increases at the rate of 3% per annum. There is increment in D.A. of average 10% to 14%. The IAS may hope to get double salary after each 7 to 9 years. |
