I am Rangarajan from Tamil Nadu. I want to become an RTO in Tamil Nadu region. Therefore i need to know about the qualification required to become an RTO there? Please help.

In order to become RTO in Tamil Nadu, you have to appear for the exam conducted by TNPSC.

TNPSC stands for Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission .

Recruitment in RTO is made for three different posts namely;

*Clerk post

*Sub Assistant engineer post

*Judicial service Post

RTO Clerk Eligibility :

-The candidate should have passed 12th class in any discipline from a recognized central or state board.

-The age limit to apply for the post should be in between 18 years to 37 years.

RTO Sub Assistant Engineer Eligibility :

- The candidate must have passed Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical ).

-The age limit to apply for the post is from 23 years to 32 years.

RTO Judicial service eligibility:

- The candidate should have Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized university.

-The age limit to apply for the post should be in between 23 years to 34 years.


The Exam is conducted in the different stages :

Preliminary Examination

Main Examination.

Interview.


Exam Pattern and Syllabus:

PAPER I :-

General Paper - It includes questions from 4 sections.They are :

English Language.
Logical Reasoning.
Quantitative Aptitude.
General Awareness.


PAPER II :-

Engineering Paper – It includes questions from computer science/Mechanical Engineering.

Mechanical Engineering-

Thermodynamics.
Fluid Machinery and Stream Generators.
Solar Controls and Ducts Design.
Heat Transfer and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
Fluid Mechanics.
Energy Transfer.
Dimensionless and Dimensional Number.

Educational Qualification required to be eligible for Tamil Nadu RTO Recruitment:

There are two posts which come under this RTO and they are Clerkship Post and Judicial Service Post and Sub Assistant Engineer. Here are the minimum qualifications required for Tamil Nadu RTO Recruitment.

* For RTO Judicial Service Post:
>> Candidates must have completed a Degree of Law from a recognized university

* For Clerkship Post:
>> Candidates must have completed Higher Secondary Examination (12th) in order to be eligible.

* For Sub Assistant Engineer Post:
>> Candidates must have completed Engineering in Mechanical/ Civil/ Electrical disciplines.

RTO - Regional Transport Officer.

Here are eligibility requirements for the RTO post.

ELIGIBILITY :

* Candidate should be citizen of India.

For Clerk post :

* The candidate's age should be in the range of 18-37 years.

* Candidates should have completed their bachelor's degree from any recognized university.

For Sub Assistant post :

* Candidate's age should be in the range of 18-34 years.

* Candidates should have completed their graduation in Electrical, Mechanical and civil streams from any recognized university.

For Judicial Post :

* Candidate's age should be in the range of 23-35 years.

* Candidates should have completed their graduation in law from any recognized university.

RTO stands for Road Transport Officer.

It is mainly for the following posts:

Judicial post
Assistant engineer post
Clerk post

Eligibility for different posts are different such as:

For Judicial posts:

Those candidates who have completed LLB course from a recognized university are eligible for this post.

Age should be in between 21 to 32 years.

For assistant engineer post:

Those candidates who have completed B.Tech or B.E in any stream from a recognized university are eligible for this post.

Age should be in between 21 to 30 years.

For clerk post:

Those candidates who have completed 12th standard with above 50% marks from a recognized board are eligible for this post.

Age should be in between 21 to 34 years.

RTO(Regional Transport Officer) exam is Conducted by Public Service Commission.Mainly the exam is conducted for three different post in each state and the eligibility criteria for each post is different.
**For clerk post::: Only +2 pass student is eligible for this exam.Age limit is 18-37.
**For Judicial Post:::Only graduates in the subject area of Law are eligible for this exam. The age limit should be between 19-23 years.
**For Assistant Engineer:: The candidates should be graduates in engineering. The age limit should not exceed 34 years.

Eligibility criteria to become RTO clerk are as under:-

Aspirant age should be in between 18 years to 37 years.

Aspirant must be a holder of graduation degree from a recognized university.

Aspirant must have at least 60% aggregate in their intermediate.

Eligibility criteria for Judicial post are as under:-

Aspirant age should be under 23 years to 35 years.

Aspirant must be a holder of graduation degree in Law from a recognized university.

Aspirant must have at least 60% aggregate in their intermediate.

Eligibility criteria for RTO exam Sub Assistant eligibility are as under:-

Aspirant age should be greater than 34 years.

Aspirant must be a holder of graduation degree in Mechanical and Civil stream from a recognized university.

Aspirant must have at least 60% aggregate in their intermediate.
