Being an M.Tech ( Master of Technology ) degree holder, to be an assisstant professor of universities approved by UGC ( Union Grant Commission ) you are required yto qualify NET.

--> NET stands for National Eligibility Test and the same examination is held by CBSE twice every year. Also to be eligible for the same examination you must satisfy the qualifications given here under :-

* You must have completed your Master's degree with at least 55% aggregate from a recognized university. Further marks relaxation of 5% is allowed for reserved category candidates.

* Also there is no age limit for appearing in NET to be an assisstant officer but for joining JRF ( Junior Research Fellowship ) your age must lie under 28 years. Age relaxation is allowed for reserved category candidates as per the government norms.

For more detaiils about NET you can log on to the link www.cbsenet.nic.in.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
