Selection Procedure of UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) Combined GEO Scientist Exam 2020 will be based on Preliminary Examination, Mains Examination and Personal Interview.

The selection procedure for selections to be made under UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2020 will comprise of three stages which are as below :-

* Stage I) Preliminary Examination ( Objective Type Computer Based Test).

* Stage II) Main Examination (Descriptive Type).

* Stage III) Personal Interview.

Note : The final merit will be based on the candidates performance in all the three stages.

Preliminary exam will consist of two exams of two hours duration each.


° Main exam: Candidates who qualify the preliminary phase examination are eligible to appear for the main examination. The main examination is of conventional type and the answer can be given only in the English language.

° Personality test: This test will comprises of 200 marks.
