Re: What is the criteria followed for getting a goverment job after B.E?
Yes, you can apply for government job entrance exams during your final year of engineering or after completion of your degree.
First of all you need to decide in which sector you are interested to make your career, after that you need to prepare for the entrance exam of concerned department and crack it in order to get the required job. You can appear for entrance exams: 1. If you are interested in joining defense, you can appear for the: >>Air Force common entrance test. >>Combined Defense Services. >>University Entry Scheme. 2. For becoming IAS, IPS, IRS officer, you can appear for the Civil Services examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Indian Engineering services is also one of the best option for engineering. 3. For Banking sector jobs like Probationary officer or clerk, you can appear for the Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection and SBI entrance exam. 4. For joining Indian Railways, you can appear for Railway Recruitment board entrance exams. 5. In order to get into different Public Sector Undertakings like NTPC, BHEL, SAIL, GAIL, ONGC etc, you need to score well in Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering exam. You may face difficulty in getting private job because most of the private organization ask for overall 60% marks right from tenth, 10+2 and bachelor of technology. |
